EdFest 2010
The Education Festival (EdFest) kicks off SLEX on Friday 29 October. It is an important part of the SLEX because it concentrates on the importance of schools and a learning environment to support change. Schools from across the region are preparing posters and presentations to showcase many wonderful projects to support sustainable living and these will be on display. At SLEX make sure to visit the Schools Showcase Marquee. You may be surprised and inspired by what the school around the corner from you is doing to reduce its impact on the environment, and to promote sustainable living in the community.
EdFest is for upper primary and high school students and teachers to participate in a fun-filled day of educational activities about sustainability. It aims to encourage people to think about their impact on the environment, and to consider what they can do to reduce their impact.
Some of the many highlights of EdFest will include sampling the hands on regeneration work undertaken at the Creeklands, Water sampling, the questions and answer session and the many other demonstrations.
